A seventh playable character has been announced for Rocksteady Studios' Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, with Zoey Lawton, better known as Lawless, gearing up to join the band of misfits. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 3 will arrive on October 1, and Lawless' inclusion will just be one piece of the update.

The game's original roster consisted of only Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Deadshot, with each having their own unique playstyle. With the release of each season, a new playable character has joined the roster, with Joker and Mrs. Freeze added to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with the launch of the first and second seasons' content, respectively.

Rocksteady has revealed some of its post-launch plans for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. The biggest piece of news is that the Joker will be the first new playable character added to Suicide Squad post-launch. And no, this isn’t the Joker from the Arkham games. He’s still dead. Instead, this is a new Joker from a different universe.

Announced assist in 2020, Suicide Squad is Rocksteady’s upcoming co-op looter shooter supervillain adventure set in the same universe as its earlier Batman: Arkham games. Since its announcement, fans haven’t been terribly excited about the game. Every time we see more of it—via trailers or leaks—it looks more and more like a live-service shooter with plenty of optional purchases, even if Rocksteady seems unwilling to admit that. And recent previews earlier this month weren’t great either and didn’t help win over folks. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s fourth season will be its last

Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad game is officially coming to its end. The fourth season of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will welcome a new playable character, Deathstroke, to the game, and “will mark the final battle against Brainiac,” the developer said Monday on the game’s official website.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s next update will also bring with it the game’s long-promised offline mode, though Rocksteady and publisher Warner Bros. say that “all online features will continue to be available” for the cooperative shooter.

Season 4 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will launch on Dec. 10, with Deathstroke, offline mode, and Episode 7 of the game’s story. Episode 8, the game’s conclusion, will arrive on Jan. 14, 2025 and feature the final battle against Brainiac, whom Suicide Squad players have been battling in various multiversal forms over the past year.
