FEMME IT FORWARD OPENS APPLICATIONS FOR NEXT GEM FEMME MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Femme It Forward, a female-led music and entertainment company, announced today that mentee applications are now open for the third year of Next Gem Femme, a mentorship program aimed at accelerating career opportunities and trajectories of young women of color. Developed to help improve equity in the workplace, the program blends a wide range of industries by pairing promising talent with female industry titans and entrepreneurs in music, media, entertainment, and technology.
Following two impactful years of the program, Next Gem Femme returns with over 100 mentors with careers in marketing, publicity, live & touring, business development, talent management, artist relations and more – from companies such as Google, Amazon, Apple Music, CAA, Live Nation, NBC Universal, Netflix, Republic Records, and YouTube (full list below). Each Next Gem Femme mentee receives professional coaching, industry insights, and networking opportunities.

Femme It Forward Expands MUSE Mentorship Program, Names Teyana Taylor As New Advisor
Heather Lowery‘s Femme It Forward has expanded its MUSE mentorship program to help guide and advise budding female artists and creatives.
Described as a “multi-pronged initiative that will bring together women across different disciplines within the music industry to inspire, empower, and mentor one another, uplift their communities, and generate new music,” MUSE serves the creative side of the business in conjunction with Femme It Forward’s Next Gem Femme mentorship program, which is dedicated to those seeking guidance within the entertainment industry.
Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, and Teyana Taylor will serve as MUSE advisors across various disciplines alongside MUSE mentors Rapsody, Trina, and Amber Riley.

This is where Femme It Forward step in. They are back for their fourth year of the Next Gem Femme mentorship programme, offering opportunities for nine months of one-to-one mentoring with their large list of over 150 industry mentors. Their expertise ranges from marketing, business development, talent management, to publicity – and have affiliations with an array of household names such as Apple Music, Netflix, Republic Records, and YouTube.
Only for US and Canadian based applicants, you must be over 18 years mature and enrolled in school or employed in order to apply. Over the course of 8 months from August 2024 to Parade 2025, this programme offers professional coaching, industry insights, and networking opportunities with female industry leaders in their chosen field.

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Femme It Forward (FIF), the music entertainment company focused on fostering diversity in the music industry, announced the launch of a new mentorship program, “MUSE” (Musicians Uplifting Stars Everyday.
The new program was created to help provide guidance and advice to the next generation of female music creatives within the industry.
The program will be led by FIF’s Founder and President, Live Nation Partner Heather Lowery, and focus on the creative aspect of the industry, complimenting Femme It Forward’s existing Next Gem Femme mentorship program, which offers a mentorship track for rising women of color executives and entrepreneurs to find space in the entertainment industry.
