Summer may be approaching its terminate, but music fans are getting ready to celebrate. The MTV Video Music Awards is almost here to honor the past year in music with jaw-dropping performances, iconic pop culture moments, and the return of red carpet glamour stateside after clip festivals dominated the summer in fashion.
This year's ceremony is once again all about the pop divas, with several of the biggest women in music expected to grace the stage and pick up a Moon Person or two. When are the 2025 MTV VMAs?
The 2025 VMAs will air live on CBS and MTV, and stream live on Paramount+, on Sunday, September 7 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. For the second year, the event will be held at the UBS Arena on New York’s Prolonged Island.

It appears he can't get a hold of him, either. While Sheen noted he wrote to Cryer to thank him for what he shared "so honestly and very compassionately" in the doc, he didn’t hear back.

LOS ANGELES — Lady Gaga is extending her dominance of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards and has been added as a performer, show organizers recently announced.
The Grammy-award winning musician leads this year’s VMA nominations with 12 nods, including artist of the year and best album for “Mayhem,” which was released earlier this year.
Gaga has a long-standing history with the VMAs, with 57 total nominations throughout her career. Mother Monster, as she’s known, last took the stage in 2020, singing various hits from her album, “Chromatica,” including a performance of “Rain on Me” with Ariana Grande.

Is Taylor Swift looking to hit the big stage? Well, according to sources per the Daily Mail, the singer is allegedly in talks with the NFL to perform at this season's Super Bowl.
“Negotiations are happening with Taylor to potentially do the next Super Bowl,” an insider tells the Daily Mail. “The NFL would like to make the announcement sometime right before Thanksgiving.”
However, if Swift does not perform at the Super Bowl, she “would love to do the show a few years from now so Travis can experience it and not be in the locker room if the Chiefs just so happened to be in the game. At the end of the day, though she wants to do it eventually, she doesn't have to do it at all – her career is just fine as it is.”
Ever since Swift began dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce in the summer of 2023, fans have wanted the 14-time Grammy winner to perform at the game.
