You’re going on vacation soon and you want your flight experience to be as pleasant as possible? Consult our 10 effective tips to make the most of your journey up in the air. More comfort, less stress, that’s what awaits you in our practical advices!

1. Dress comfortably

The choice of your outfit can greatly influence your comfort during the flight. To feel comfortable on a plane, choose loose clothing that doesn’t restrict your movements and shoes that are easy to remove during security checks. Also favor clothing layers to be able to adapt to temperature variations in the cabin. Ideally, don’t wear jeans and tight shoes as well as one-pieces to avoid an uncomfortable situation in the restroom.

It’s also best not to tie your hair too tightly, to choose comfortable underwear, and to avoid white clothes in case you spill something. Also, don’t forget to pack a lightweight spare kit in your personal item or carry-on to stay comfortable in the event of an unexpected event.

The transportation of excess baggage will be provided based on space availability. The excess baggage may, therefore, not be loaded on the same flight as the passenger.

The seat was surprisingly comfortable and the crew was great.

The boarding was terrible. Confusing, long and with multiple checks.

One of our suitcases was missing at arrival. No news from the lost and found desk so far. As for 3 or 4 other passengers, they said it probably was missent at Orly airport. Hope it arrives. Not sure whether a compensation will occur if not found.

As a forever curious student of life, travel has been my throughline. In fact, one of my very first jobs in my tiny hometown was working with a travel agent! Little did I know then how full circle my professional career would come.

Before Valise, I started a successful scarf company with designs inspired by my travels through Turkey and India. I loved working directly with suppliers in India and China to perfect the line, and the company grew to be distributed in retail chains across the U.S.!

But as the seasons of my life changed, so did my priorities. I set the scarf business aside when my twins arrived—but the travel bug never left me. Instead, I became obsessed with sharing the wonders of travel with my twins. Together with my husband, we traipsed through the Louvre in Paris, snorkeled with tropical fish in Costa Rica, and spied giraffes, zebras, and lions on a South African safari.

Showing my kids how big the world really is beyond our home is so important to me—there is so much out there to discover! What surprised me, though, as we began to travel as a family was how much I got out of sharing my travel experiences with them.
