Anki reveal next shortcut

How to change the "reveal next" keyboard shortcut?

Hello,

I’m not sure which add-on you’re referring to that is obsolete?

But, the easiest method would be to use the Anking Note Types feature that allows you to specify the button-mapping for ‘reveal cloze’:

The add-on itself is handy for a few things, but we’ll walk through how to use to adjust this particular shortcut:

First, you’ll want to install the addon. The webpage for the addon is here (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/952691989) though if it’s easier you can just use this code: 952691989

Once installed, you should see ‘AnKing’ at the top of your menu bar. Click here:

From there, you can select the note type you want to specify this behavior for (you may have to adjust both ‘general’ and the specific note type, for a few reasons):

Once you’ve done that, you should be able to restart Anki and be all set.

There are other add-ons that are more specialized in shortcut mapping, but this is the most direct path to what you described.

Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.

Can we update Anki iOS to focus in reviewer?

AnKingMed1

@dae any chance we can update the iOS version so that it focuses in reviewer? e. I’ve recently been using the iPad app more often and I had someone email me today asking the same thing and figured I’d bring it up here

Could you provide me with a 1 card apkg to easily test with?

This note type has a few shortcuts - for revealing the IO occlusions one at a time, for revealing all of them at once and for revealing the button hints

I have been searching for a solution for this for months. On desktop it works fine, but for example iPad with magic keyboard I either have to tap on the screen to kinda “activate” the function, or I have to use the trackpad first and click so I can trigger the actions. Same problem here.

Please let me know how you go when the next beta comes out.

AnKingMed6

Can you ping me here when you’ve released it?

You should have gotten a TestFlight notification? It’s available now in any case.

Seems to be working well now! Thanks!

Any chance

Cloze one by one uncovering

brianndiep1

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if there was a possible way to uncover the cloze one by one deletion boxes using a keyboard shortcut. Under the Anki:Advanced Anki Card Type video, they said “SHORTCUTS: With the Hint Hotkeys add on, “h” reveals hints one at a time, “g” reveals them all
-With the cloze one by one 2.1, the shortcut to reveal the boxes is “n””

However, this is not working for me and I made sure that I am using cloze one by one 2.1. Is there something specific I should look for under the custom keyboard add on?

No concrete need for an add-on here.
You could just add this to your Cloze back template:

And add some separate styling for the active clozes:

Result:

If you wish to change the keys, just look up your keycodes here: https://keycode.info/
This works with the standard Cloze note type, but you have to skip to the backside first. Also, they all need to have the same index.

Thank you for the help! I’ll add that to my cloze note type.

Mochi is an app to help you remember things. It uses a review scheduling system called spaced repetition. This system will automatically schedule cards for review based on how well you already know them. Cards that you know well will appear less often, and cards you don't know well will appear more frequently.

Cards are the heart of Mochi. They are formatted using markdown, and can be used as note cards, or flash cards with multiple sides or faces. You can separate your card into sides by putting three dashes () between each side you want to create. For example:

You can review cards using spaced repetition, or you can archive them if you don't want to review them regularly. Mochi can be used as a zettelkasten notebook.

All cards are stored in a deck. Decks can also be stored in other decks to create hierarchies. Decks can have custom settings

Decks can be displayed in a few different ways. Grid view, List view, Column view, and Notebook view are all available depending on your needs. You can change the view in the upper left-hand corne

Hello, this script here has helped me greatly. I’ve used it in my medical studies succesfully. Thank you very much.

I use “Q” on my keyboard to uncover them. Is there a simple way to make this work on AnkiDroid? Such as adding a simple button or changing Q to double tap, or tapping on the […].

I used your script further down, but the formatting puts all of it into a box and centers it, which unfortunately confuses my rather large cards. I note someone else asked about this also, so any help appreciated

Thank you all
