    O*NET® Interest ProfilerTM Services

    The O*NET Interest Profiler is a vocational interest assessment instrument. Users get an accurate, reliable profile of their vocational interests that:

    1. helps them identify their work-related interests,
    2. focuses career search activities, and
    3. enables them to link their vocational interests to O*NET-SOC occupations.

    You can provide the Interest Profiler to your own site's audience through a direct web link, by including our IFrame Widget, or by using our web service API. The feature is free in English or Spanish.

    For your convenience, some Interest Profiler controls can be selected with the keyboard as well as the mouse.

    Navigating pages:

    These keyboard shortcuts can be used instead of clicking the navigation buttons:

    • Next - the N or Return or Enter keys
    • Back - the B key
    • Close - the C key

    Answering work activity questions:

    There are five possible answers to each work activity question, indicated by the images above each column. You can place your mouse cursor over one of the columns to see a text description of that answer.

    You can answer questions about work activities by using the keyboard:

    • Strongly Dislike - the 1 key
    • Dislike - the 2 key
    • Unsure - the 3 key
    • Like - the 4 key
    • Strongly Like - the 5 key

    The keyboard shortcuts will answer the question with an underlined number. In the illustration at right, question 3 can be answered using the keyboard. The underline will automatically move to the next question after you give an answer.

    Choosing a Job Zone:

    When you are asked to choose a Job Zone, the number keys can be used instead of clicking the radio buttons:
