The development team behind Starship Troopers: Extermination has laid out big plans for the game in a road map that covers the rest of 2024 and the first half of 2025. The cooperative sci-fi first-person shooter, which bears a lot of similarities to Helldivers 2 in the eyes of its fan base, first became available as an Early Access title in May 2023, and it received very positive reactions on Steam, with a player satisfaction rate of 84 percent. The game's official launch, which included its debut on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, came on October 10. Starship Troopers: Extermination has revealed two different updates, one of which is already in the game and another on the way

Offworld Industries dropped new information about the next two updates for Starship Troopers: Extermination, providing a slight roadmap of what we can expect to play. Patch 1.3 is actually already in the game, as they have provided players with several improvements to the areas you fight in, some new weapon reloads, and improvements to the overall game. Patch 1.4, on the other hand, doesn't have a set release date aside from the idea it will be out in the Spring, with some minor additions of its own. Server Performance ImprovementsProjectiles for most weapons (Explosive projectiles, such as rockets and grenades, are not affected) have received a performance and fidelity improvement. All Troopers should enjoy a smoother and more performant experience and enjoy more reliable weapon performance with additional features.
All projectiles are more performant.
Tracers are more visible and remain visible for longer
Some projectiles can now ricochet off surfaces or armored bugs

Together, we’ve deployed four major game updates, each packed with performance optimizations, bug fixes, and content designed to enhance the experience on the frontlines.
Here are just a few of the highlights we’ve introduced:
- Company Invites and Chat – Making it easier than ever to squad up and stay connected with your fellow Troopers.
- New Galactic War Perks – With each war fought, fresh perks have arrived to help shape your strategy and squad loadout.
- Staged Reload Mechanics – Adding more tactical depth to combat engagements.
- Dynamic Sky and Weather Systems – Immersiv
