FOX Sports AFC East reporter Henry McKenna weighed in on which teams he thinks make the most sense for Aiyuk.

"The Patriots are the favorites for obvious reasons. The biggest one: They have money. That’s what Aiyuk wants, ultimately. But New England also has a uniquely awful situation at receiver, and they’d benefit more than anyone else in the league from Aiyuk,

49ers All-Pro wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk’s patience is wearing thin with San Francisco. On Tuesday, he officially requested a trade after an offseason of unsuccessful attempts to reach an extension, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Aiyuk met with the Niners last month but the two sides haven’t engaged in negotiations since May, so Aiyuk has respectfully asked to part ways.

Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has revealed his betting odds for Aiyuk’s next team in 2024, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the favorites at +400. The Los Angeles Chargers have the second-best odds at +425, followed by the New England Patriots (+450), 49ers (+500) and Arizona Cardinals (+800).

Surprisingly, the Washington Commanders are at +1000 to land Aiyuk in a trade. The Commanders emerged as a possible favorite to land Aiyuk because of his close connection with Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels. The two were teammates at Arizona State.

The Steelers and Commanders were the two teams that Aiyuk mentioned that he would like to play

As Brandon Aiyuk’s “hold-in” at the San Francisco 49ers’ training camp drags on, a new favorite has emerged should the team change its stance about not trading the disgruntled wide receiver.

Aiyuk reported to camp to avoid daily fines and according to coach Kyle Shanahan is doing everything — except practicing. The fifth-year receiver is currently scheduled to earn $14.124 million in 2024 on the fifth-year team option linked to his rookie deal.

He requested a trade earlier this month. While the 49ers have made no indication they intend to honor that request, an NFC rival has emerged as the favorite destination should the franchise change its tune.

After the Pittsburgh Steelers opened as the favorite to land Aiyuk if he’s dealt, the Washington Commanders now have the shortest odds at +375 at SportsBetting.ag.

Steelers Odds Amid Brandon Aiyuk Trade Rumors

The Steelers are in the mix to trade for 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who demanded a trade earlier this offseason.

An unsubstantiated report from a blogger indicated that a deal had been done between the Steelers and 49ers on an Aiyuk trade. That is not correct. But they seem to be among the finalists.

ESPN's Adam Schefter said the Steelers were in talks with the 49ers on the parameters of a trade package involving Aiyuk. NBC Sports Bay Area had reported on Monday night that the Patriots and Browns have already worked out the framework of said trade.

That's far from the done deal that was reported by the blogger on Monday.

Aiyuk is seeking a guaranteed deal as he's heading into the last year of his rookie contract, which will pay him just over $14 million this season, after which he can become an unrestricted free agent. Teammate Deebo Samuel utilized the same strategy — demanding a trade as his contract was near expiration, with the requisite leverage — before signing a three-year extension worth up to $73.5 million during the 2022 offseason.

As of now, the Steelers are massive +5000 underdogs to win the S
